Salary: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

Job Duties

• Operate Class 1 tractor-trailer units on long-haul routes across Western Canada
• Load and secure freight following Transport Canada regulations
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain accurate driver's logbook and electronic logging device records
• Deliver shipments on schedule to distribution centres and customer locations
• Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes and delivery status
• Handle customs documentation for cross-border shipments
• Perform minor roadside repairs and report major mechanical issues
• Comply with hours-of-service regulations and weight restrictions
• Maintain a clean driving record and professional conduct
• Complete bills of lading and delivery receipts accurately

Requirements

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of Class 1 driving
• Valid Manitoba Class 1 driver's licence
• Clean driver's abstract (no more than 3 demerits)
• FAST card or ability to obtain for cross-border routes

Work Conditions

• Extended time away from home (4-5 days per trip typical)
• Driving in all weather and road conditions
