Salary: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
Terms: Permanent, Full-time (40-50 hours/week)

Job Duties

• Operate a straight truck or tractor-trailer to transport goods regionally
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Plan trip logistics and complete driver logbooks (ELD)
• Load and secure cargo, verifying weight distribution and tie-downs
• Deliver freight on schedule to warehouses, stores, and job sites
• Complete bills of lading and obtain delivery confirmations
• Communicate with dispatch regarding schedules and route changes
• Monitor vehicle condition and arrange servicing when needed
• Follow hours-of-service regulations and all highway safety laws
• Maintain professional conduct with customers at pickup and delivery points

Requirements

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work Conditions

• Valid Class 1/AZ licence with clean abstract required
• Long periods of sitting; some overnight trips
• Loading assistance required at some stops (up to 25 kg)
