Position: Housekeeper
NOC: 65310 — Light duty cleaner
Location: Sydney, NS
Salary: $15.70 - $17.50 per hour
Terms: Permanent, Full-time (35-40 hours/week)
Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Duties

• Clean and sanitize offices, common areas, and washrooms
• Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors throughout the facility
• Empty waste bins and recycling containers
• Dust surfaces, window sills, and light fixtures
• Clean kitchen and break room areas
• Replenish washroom supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper)
• Spot-clean windows and glass partitions
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment (floor scrubber, vacuum)
• Report maintenance or repair needs to supervisor
• Follow WHMIS protocols when handling cleaning chemicals

Requirements

• Languages: English
• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
• Experience: No experience required; full training provided

Work Conditions

• Evening shifts (5:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
• Physical work including bending, lifting, and pushing
