Location: Kelowna, BC
Salary: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Terms: Permanent, Full-time (35-40 hours/week)
Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities in their homes
• Help with personal care including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if needed
• Perform light housekeeping: laundry, dishes, vacuuming, tidying
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands
• Administer prescribed medications with proper documentation
• Monitor client health and report changes to care coordinator
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of assistive devices
• Maintain accurate daily care logs and notes
• Follow care plans developed by nursing and allied health team

Requirements

• Languages: English
• Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma (1 to 2 years) — Health Care Assistant or equivalent
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in home care or personal support
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification
• Clear criminal record check
• BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry membership (or eligible)

Work Conditions

• Travel to client homes throughout Kelowna area
• Day, evening, and weekend shifts available
• Physical work including lifting and assisting clients with mobility
