Position: General Labourer
NOC: 75110 — General labourer - food processing
Location: St. John's, NL
Salary: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
Terms: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours/week)
Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Duties

• Work on poultry processing line performing assigned tasks
• Trim, debone, and portion poultry products using hand tools
• Inspect products for quality and remove non-conforming items
• Package and weigh products according to specifications
• Sanitize work area, equipment, and tools at required intervals
• Operate basic processing equipment under supervision
• Follow HACCP food safety protocols and CFIA regulations
• Wear required PPE including hairnets, gloves, and smocks
• Assist with loading finished products into cold storage
• Report equipment issues or safety hazards immediately

Requirements

• Languages: English
• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
• Experience: No experience required; complete training on site

Work Conditions

• Cold, wet processing environment (5-10°C)
• Repetitive tasks with sharp cutting tools
• Standing for the entire shift
