Position: Dishwasher
NOC: 65201 — Kitchen helper
Location: Kelowna, BC
Salary: $17.85 - $19.00 per hour
Terms: Permanent, Part-time (20-30 hours/week)
Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Duties

• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit for meal preparation
• Portion food items and assemble trays or plates as directed
• Operate commercial dishwashers and wash pots, pans, and utensils by hand
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, counters, and equipment
• Receive, unpack, and store deliveries in fridges, freezers, and dry storage
• Remove kitchen garbage and recycling throughout the shift
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors and keep work areas clear
• Restock supplies at cooking stations before and during service
• Assist cooks with basic food preparation tasks
• Follow all food safety and workplace safety rules

Requirements

• Languages: English
• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
• Experience: No experience required — will train

Work Conditions

• Physically demanding; standing for full shifts
• Wet and warm working environment
• Repetitive tasks at a steady pace
