Location: Yellowknife, NT
Salary: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Terms: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

Job Duties

• Supervise and care for children ages 18 months to 5 years
• Plan and lead educational activities, games, and story time
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
• Change diapers and assist with toileting and handwashing
• Observe and document each child's developmental milestones
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment
• Communicate with parents on daily activities and progress
• Follow NWT licensing regulations and child-to-staff ratios
• Administer first aid and manage emergency procedures
• Set up and clean activity centres and outdoor play areas
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development

Requirements

• Languages: English
• Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma (1 to 2 years) in Early Childhood Education
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year working with young children
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification
• Clear Vulnerable Sector criminal record check

Work Conditions

• Licensed daycare centre setting
• Active role: sitting on floor, lifting children, outdoor supervision
• Monday to Friday schedule
