Salary: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Job Duties

• Prepare bread dough, pastry dough, and batter from scratch using bakery recipes
• Operate commercial ovens, dough mixers, sheeters, and proofers
• Measure and weigh flour, sugar, yeast, and other ingredients accurately
• Shape, pan, and proof bread loaves and rolls
• Bake cookies, muffins, cakes, and pies to golden perfection
• Decorate baked goods with icing, fondant, and toppings
• Monitor oven temperatures and baking times for consistency
• Package finished products for display and sale
• Clean and sanitize all baking equipment and work surfaces
• Rotate stock and monitor ingredient freshness and expiry dates
• Assist with seasonal and holiday product planning
• Follow food safety regulations and WHMIS protocols

Requirements

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a commercial bakery

Work Conditions

• Early morning shifts (start time 4:00 AM - 5:00 AM)
• Hot environment near ovens; standing for full shift
• Lifting flour bags and supplies up to 25 kg
